Working from Home, Business as Usual!

In many offices in Hong Kong, the rest of Asia and now increasingly also throughout the rest of the world the lights are off and it’s eerily quiet. Due to the threat of the COVID-19, many people have been asked to work from home in an effort to help contain the virus. It’s a real experiment for many businesses in Hong Kong as working from home is not so common in this part of the world.

Time.com recently published an online article about this topic and our WECREATE frontman Arthur Kuipers contributed his view on the matter. In the interview with time magazine, Arthur explained that WECREATE uses online tools such as cloud-based Slack for efficient communication between employees, Dropbox for file sharing and Avaza for project management. With all this in place, our team manages well to keep on top of things and we are able to serve clients as usual.

Although these tools make working from home possible and very efficient it is not to say that WECREATE’s office will become obsolete when the threat of COVID-19 has passed. As Arthur Kuipers mentioned in the interview with time magazine: “It’s easier to put our heads together, or to go into a meeting room and discuss things in person”.

And not at all unimportant, of course, WECREATE would like to be able to invite clients again to come for a coffee, meet the team and discuss how we can make business better for them. So, although we don’t suffer under the new temporary working from home measures WECREATE very much looks forward to welcoming clients in our new office again as soon as we can. Until then, don’t hesitate to contact us, even in these unusual circumstances it’s business as usual for us!
