Vincent Mock (1980) the artist inhabits many worlds. The African wilderness, the depths of the ocean; his sense of responsibility as an environmentalist always reflected in his work. Life-size sculptures of endangered marine animals, deer antlers adorned with glass beads, the skull of a poached rhinoceros are but a few of the many artworks he has created to communicate his ideas about the world we live in. Whether contemplating the transience of life on earth or asking questions regarding the complexities of human consciousness, Mock does not allow us to rest easily, he excites our imagination and reminds us of our interdependence with the natural world, or perhaps the link we are losing. Vincent Mock contacted WECREATE HK with the desire to create
a more compelling and engaging experience for his viewers through his portfolio website. By taking into account his artistic style and philosophical leanings, we worked on interpreting that into a digital medium that reflected his ideologies. Using a dynamic layout that utilizes visual elements like parallax effects, floating objects and overlaid content, we created an organic, eclectic website that showcased the beauty and refinement of Vincent Mock’s work whilst retaining his vibrant artistic style. Despite these elements, we aimed to make the site as clean and unobtrusive as possible; it was imperative that his work stood out and that viewers got the full experience from the content provided.
